Ladies' Philoptochos

A little about ourselves

Picture
The Ladies Philoptochos of Annunciation meets monthly and is open to adult women of the parish.
Our current ongoing initiatives include:

Sharing food with the less fortunate
Our objective is to maintain 2 bags of groceries in our pantry at all times for distribution to those who need a bit of help.

Some requested items include:  peanut butter, pasta sauce, pasta, canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, macaroni and cheese, oatmeal, canned or dry milk, crackers, cooking oil, sugar, flour, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, kleenex, paper toweling body soap, moisturizer, dish soap, etc.
You will find a container in the Narthex for your donations.  Please ensure items are not expired, packaging is intact and no glass containers.   "Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed" (Proverbs 19:17).

Memorial Coffee Hour

The ladies of the Philoptochos will prepare a small reception for those celebrating a memorial of a loved one at Annunciation.
This includes 2 tables of 8 completely set with 8 plates of light refreshments, utensils, and beverages (coffee and water).
Cost is:
  • Parishioners of the Annunciation: $150.00
  • Non-parishioners $200.00.
  • Additional tables of 8 are $25.00 each.

Your donations help us support the less fortunate in the community and various Metropolis and Diocesan initiatives throughout the year.

Please contact the church office for more information, to request a memorial coffee hour date, or to join this amazing group of ladies.
